Awesome, awesome! My family who loves the green bean casserole, left it & demolished this corn casserole!!! That says it all!!!

What You Need

eggs, beaten

can (15 oz.) cream-style corn

pkg. (10 oz.) frozen whole kernel corn

pkg. (8-1/2 oz.) corn muffin mix

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1/8

tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)

pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Three Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA, divided

green onions, sliced

slices cooked OSCAR MAYER Bacon, crumbled

Make It

HEAT oven to 375°F.

MIX first 6 ingredients until well blended; stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Pour into 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 40 min. Meanwhile, combine remaining cheese, onions and bacon.

TOP casserole with cheese mixture; bake 15 min. or until lightly browned.

To soften cream cheese quickly, place in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 15 to 30 sec. or just until warmed.

Substitute

Substitute 3/4 cup each cornmeal and flour, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder for the corn muffin mix.

I did this recipe exactly as described but added a couple of jalapenos with the seeds removed to the corn bread batter. It was delicious! I served it alongside a bowl of black eyed peas for the new year and it made a fabulous meal.

I have made this dish several times and it is always a HUGE hit with the entire family!!! We love it!!!

This recipe turned out too sweet and gummy as though it wasn't cooked long enough even though it was. Out of my family of 7 not one of them liked this dish.

I definitely enjoyed this. I substituted the onions for yellow onions and it was still great!.

We love this and have made it several times. I use canned corn for both kinds - drain the regular - and bake in 9x13 pan until done. I don't add the bacon to make it meatless. My friends ask for me to make this whenever we get together to watch football.

I would try this again. It just says 2qt dish,I did it in a 2qt corningware. It stood to high and the center was goopy. You need a shallow dish for this I think. I will try again in a different dish. Tonights is going in the garbage. Should really specify when a shallow dish is required.
