Best thumprint cookie I've ever eaten. I added a little more flour to make the dough easier to handle. I did not refrigerate. I filled them with homemade preserves and baked them for 20 minutes. I didn't realize it was 10 minutes, then fill, and 10 more. It worked out fine! Light and delicious cookies. Can't wait to share them.
These are the best thumbprint cookies ever!!! They are the first cookie to disappear over the holidays. I fill some of them with cream cheese frosting and drizzle with melted chocolate for a more creative touch.
The instructions are not really clear, refrigerate after mixing, make them the same size- don't be tempted to make them bigger, make sure you indent the cookie deep enough they rise in the oven after first bake= most important: double bake! 10 minutes first and 8 second bake they will harden a bit after cooling.
