Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is excellent as is... This is excellent as is... want something even better? Instead of using water, try using half and half... Want to take it to another level? Throw in some small cooked shrimp... Then stand back and gather your complements. I've made this before, then went to a fancy restaurant the tried their shrimp bisque... IT TASTED THE SAME... but was ten bucks a bowl!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I actually loved this! I actually loved this!! My husband hates regular tomato soup but loved this version. We had this on a cruise and it was so good so I thought I would try it. We ate grilled cheese sandwhiches with it and it was great cool evening meal and it didn't take anytime at all to make it. It would also be good with veggies in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've made this bisque many times and each time get raves. I've made this bisque many times and each time get raves. Instead of water, I use heavy cream. I usually add in shrimp, lobster, or crab meat, too. I run it through my food processor to make smooth and sprinkle each bowl with a dash of nutmeg. Also, adding 1-2 tbsp. rice, uncooked, and letting it simmer helps with texture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great way to jazz up a plain old can of tomato soup. This is a great way to jazz up a plain old can of tomato soup. My kids loved it. I actually used a family sized can of soup and added the whole 8 ozs of cream cheese (in my case neufchatel). If you soften the cream cheese in the microwave right before adding it to the soup it should completely melt leaving no lumps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I don't even like tomato soup, but decided to make it anyway because my parents like it. I don't even like tomato soup, but decided to make it anyway because my parents like it. Everyone was raving about it at dinner so I decided to try it and it was amazing! I did however put the cream cheese in the microwave before putting it in the soup and I had no trouble in it melting completely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a really good and easy soup. This is a really good and easy soup. I recently paid almost $5 a bowl for a similiar soup at a restraunt but was able to duplicate it exactly by cutting the cream cheese into tiny bits & whisking it until creamy but also adding about a TBSP of prepared pesto and a little salt. It was killer!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I made this recipe twice, and nothing would make the white chunks go away. I made this recipe twice, and nothing would make the white chunks go away. I tried cutting the cream cheese into little chunks, and melting it beforehand, and I boiled it so many times, but they were just still there! I'd rather just use the milk next time.
