Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this recipie. I love this recipie. I made it for my husband a couple of weeks ago and he loved it! Even went back for seconds. The sauce does thicken rather quickly but still yummy. I didn't get any smoked salmon so instead I set it on a rack on some foil in a baking dish and in the bottom of the dish had some water and liquid smoke. And baked the fish. It turned out really good. Gave the salmon a light smokey flavor with out overpowering the taste. My husband started chowing on the salmon before it even went into the sauce. I'm actually making this dish again tonight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent, my family loved this recipe. Excellent, my family loved this recipe. You have to really like smoked salmon, and dill if you plan on trying this recipe. My 15 month old loved it and had 2 servings, even my fussy 3 year old ate all...after I convinced her that the cucumber was not peppers. One tip, whisk the cheese and milk together over low heat with a wire whisk. The sauce becomes nice and thick (I added a little more milk than the recipe called for). I couldn't find fresh dill so I used the dry stuff; I'll think of making it again when I see fresh dill on the grocery shelves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my daughter's favorite recipe and she requests it often. This is my daughter's favorite recipe and she requests it often. Needless to say, I don't mind making it because it is so easy. I cut calories by using low-fat cream cheese and fat-free milk and the recipe maintains its' integrity. I also frequently use un-smoked salmon or even canned tuna and these changes are also quite tasty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used half and half instead of milk which made it a little rich. I used half and half instead of milk which made it a little rich. I used light cream cheese, added an ounce of vodka to the sauce and the zest of half a lemon which cut the richness a little. Sprinkled freshly grated parmesan over top. Really good - just stick with the milk!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A keeper! A keeper! My husband is not a big tortellini fan but loved the fresh taste of this dish. I served it for dinner so divided it all between the 2 of us. I did substitute baked salmon (flaked after baking)instead of smoked. Do serve immediately as the sauce thickens quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I doubled the recipe for a group of 6. I doubled the recipe for a group of 6. It was a good and quick meal. I used 8oz of light ceam cheese and 8oz of light cream since someone mentioned the sauce thickening quickly. This worked well. I wasn't sure about the cucumber in the sauce, but it was really good too.
