  • Mix dressing and mustard in large saucepan. Stir in bacon. Cook on medium-high heat 5 min. or until bacon starts to turn crisp, stirring frequently. Add meat; cook until browned on all sides, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in yuca and water; bring to boil. Cover. Reduce heat to low; simmer 45 min.
  • Add cabbage, plantains and chickpeas; stir. Cover; cook an additional 15 min. or just until cabbage is tender. Serve topped with the cheese.

    This is not a Salvadoran dish. The only dish it could possibly mimic is Yuca Frita con Chicharrón - but then again, not. Besides that it was horrible and would not recommend ANYONE waste their money making this recipe.
