  • Preheat grill to medium heat. Slice wieners at 1/2-inch intervals, being careful to not cut all the way through the wieners.
  • Grill wieners 6 minutes or until wieners begin to curl and are heated through (160°F), turning after 3 minutes. Meanwhile, microwave the CHEEZ WHIZ as directed on label.
  • Place wieners in buns. Spoon about 2 Tbsp. of the CHEEZ WHIZ into center of each wiener.

Great Substitute

Substitute OSCAR MAYER Beef Franks for the wieners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had some of the neighborhood kids over for hot dogs and lemonade. I had some of the neighborhood kids over for hot dogs and lemonade. When they saw me pull out the hamburger puns, they told me I was crazy. I assured them the hot dogs would not only fit inside the bun, but there would be a surprise in the center. It didn't take long for them to catch on - once they saw me arrange the first wiener on the grill, they wanted to try! Now they think I'm the greatest chef since Emeril! Or at least that's what they told me in an attempt to get me to serve ice cream after our Transformer Dogs. (It worked.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I never seem to have hot dog buns when I want a hot dog. I never seem to have hot dog buns when I want a hot dog. This clever way to use regular buns or any kind of rolls is really neat. I like ketchup and onions mixed together on my dogs. Thanks for the idea.
