2014 My son, his family and all his friends LOVE these chocolate *****! They are very rich, but so, so yummy!!! They disappeared off the plate in less time than it took to prepare them. A real winner!!! 2015 Update: Okay, I'm back visiting my family in NH (I'm from TX and I visit every year) and my son is already asking me to make these... LOL!

I have made these several times--they are excellent! This time, I ran out of melted chocolate and used some peanut butter chocolate chips which were also very delicious! There are only 30 cookies in the Oreo package, so I just used that and it worked fine. I also froze them for several hours which didn't seem to matter. Biggest challenge for me was getting the chocolate to look as smooth as it does in the pictures... I am looking forward to trying them with the other flavors of Oreos.

Made this for my kids' team- they inhaled them. My husband was allowed to have only one, and he lamented that I hadn't made enough for our family as well!! I will be making these again because they are so quick and easy. Tip - coat the balls with chocolate quickly before they unfreeze, or do them in batches, about a third at a time, leaving the others in the freezer, as the warm chocolate tends to melt the balls.
