Tropical Breakfast Bruschetta

Sure, we're calling this Tropical Breakfast Bruschetta. But with pound cake and that sweet, creamy topping, we'd gladly have it for dessert too.

What You Need

can (8 oz.) pineapple tidbits, drained

1/2

cup chopped strawberries

medium mango, peeled, pitted and chopped

loaf (10.75 oz.) prepared pound cake, cut into 16 (1/2-inch-thick) slices, toasted

1/2

cup PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread

Make It

TOSS fruit in small bowl.

SPREAD cake slices evenly with cream cheese spread, using about 1-1/2 tsp. of the cream cheese spread on each slice. Top each with about 2-1/2 Tbsp. of the fruit mixture.

SERVE immediately.

Prepare as directed, using PHILADELPHIA Strawberry or Pineapple Cream Cheese Spread.

Use Your Broiler

If preparing for a large group, place pound cake slices in single layer on baking sheet. Broil, 3 to 4 inches from heat, for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.

I made this for our family Christmas brunch. I used fresh mango and strawberries. I didn't drain the pineapple tidbits. I received many compliments.

Really easy to make. Substitued whipped cream cheese in. Tasted like a dessert for breakfest. Family loved this healthy recipe!

This is now the dish requested at every potluck we have at work. It is easy and beautiful when completed. I have found that adding a brightly colored plate makes it even more beautiful!
