This is a great recipe. My husband loves it, and we make it at least once a month. We do modify it a little, but just to suit our tastes. We don't like onion and my husband isn't a huge fan of green pepper, so those are excluded. I use a can of diced tomatoes instead of chopping up 3 whole tomatoes, and I use a can of chili beans instead of kidney beans. I do not drain them, as the sauce adds to the flavor. SECRET TIP: I once put in seasoned salt, which I thought was chili powder. I also added the chili powder after realizing my error, and it actually turned out really well. I now use both!
