Turkey Chili

This hearty chili uses ground turkey instead of beef. Simmered with tomatoes, beans, garlic and seasonings, it’s loaded with zesty flavor.

What You Need

pkg.  (16 oz.) frozen LOUIS RICH Pure Ground Turkey, thawed

cup  chopped onion
1/2
cup  chopped green pepper
1
clove  garlic, minced
1
can  (15-1/2 oz.) kidney beans, drained, rinsed

cup  water
3
medium  tomatoes, peeled, chopped
1
can  (6 oz.) no-salt added tomato paste
1
tsp.  chili powder
1/2
tsp.  dried oregano leaves
1/2
tsp.  ground cumin
1/8
tsp.  ground red pepper (cayenne)

Make It

COOK turkey in large heavy pot on medium heat until no longer pink, stirrring frequently. Add onion, green pepper and garlic; cook 2 min., stirring occasionally.

ADD all remaining ingredients except crackers. Cover. Simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

SERVE hot with crackers.

Substitute
Substitute 1 lb. ground beef for the ground turkey. Brown meat in large heavy pot as directed; drain. Add onion, green pepper and garlic; continue as directed.
