Turkey Tacos

My sister first made turkey tacos a few years ago and I loved them. Now I make them for breakfast or a quick and easy dinner: delish!

what you need

pkg. (16 oz.) frozen LOUIS RICH Pure Ground Turkey, thawed

pkg. (10.75 oz.) TACO BELL® Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit

cup shredded lettuce

cup chopped tomatoes

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Make It

COOK turkey in nonstick skillet on medium heat 10 min. or until cooked through, stirring occasionally.

ADD Seasoning Mix and water; cook as directed on package. Meanwhile, heat Taco Shells as directed on package.

PLACE bowls of seasoned turkey, remaining Dinner ingredients, the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese on table. Pass the Taco Shells and let everyone build their own.

This is a family favorite - the kids love it. We make them with regular taco shells as well as flour tortillas. We make them regularly.

I have never tried turkey on my tacos before, and was very surprised by the taste! I would not have been able to tell the differance. I prefer a healthier choice for my family.

This recipe is great even my husband who is a picky eater loved it and couldn't tell that I didn't use hamburger. Switching from hamburger to turkey I thought we would lose the taste you get with hamburger but you don't notice it and it is soooo much better for you. Our goal this year was to eat healthier and so trying new recipes has been a really fun thing to do.

I made this lastnight only thing i did was add green peppers and onion and garlic power it was great

My picky eater daughter likes this so much that we have to make it weekly now. Good thing we all enjoy it!

Try this on your turkey-hating friends. They may never eat another beef taco! I double the recipe for my grandkids and sprinkle half of one of the seasoning packets over the raw turkey and mix to get 'Mexican sausage'. After draining, I add the rest of the seasonings and enough water to just cover the turkey. Yes, it takes longer to cook down, but the taste is well worth it.

Instead of tacos I used crushed tortilla chipsand made it as a main meal salad. It was VERY GOOD!
