If I had made it like the recipe, it would have been too bland and I know I would not ever make it again. I added 1/2 cup diced onions to the butter and sauted them before adding the mushrooms. Also added about 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to the chicken mixture. The amount of egg noodles need to be increased, as well.

This is a great basic recipe, however, I did have to add quite a bit more to get it to our liking. I used the entire 8 oz cream cheese, then added a can of cream of mushroom soup and probably a little over a cup of half & half. Also used an entire bag of egg noodes - 3/4 cup was not near enough. Tasted much like a turkey pot pie! Absolutely loved the flavors together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I liked how quick it was. I liked how quick it was. I generally cook for one so I like recipies that don't make a ton and reheats well. I too would add a few more noodles and cut back just a little on the broth to help thicken the sauce a bit. I have used chicken and I've tried the pre-cooked meat as a short cut. Was really good!

This needs much more than the called-for amount of noodles, especially if you're feeding 4 or more people...I think it might be a typo and should maybe say 3-4 cups rather than 3/4 cup. Also, we think we'll try this with chicken next time. The turkey was ok, but we'd like to see how the chicken tastes.

They even asked for seconds. This recipe is going to be one of our new favorites. It was also real easy to prepare!!

I have had this recipe in my recipe box for years but I never had the chance to make it...it's a great recipe to use leftovers in. My husband & kids loved it too. The sauce was definitely runny so I would thicken it up next time. I served it over rotini pasta as I had no noodles.

This recipe was excellent, but be sure to include the thyme in the recipe (which is listed as an optional ingredient). It was quick, easy yet very good and the cream cheese made it more hearty than other tetrazzini recipes. One of my favorites.
