You're not actually required to wear a tuxedo to eat this pie, but its dramatic chocolate and vanilla layers might make you straighten up in your seat.

  • Place 12 of the cookies in food processor container; cover. Process until finely crushed. Mix with butter; press firmly onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate. • Add 1 cup of the milk to each flavor of dry pudding mix in separate medium bowls. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Add 1 cup of the whipped topping to each bowl; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or until chilled.
  • Spread chocolate pudding mixture onto bottom of prepared crust; top with vanilla pudding mixture. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Top with the chocolate-dipped cookies just before serving. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.

How many different ways can you make a pudding pie? I've seen hundreds of ways. And while this is all-in-all pretty simple and basic the chocolate dipped oreos give that special little touch to take it to the next level. This is not just a pudding pie people, it's a pudding pie with oreos on top:) I wouldn't ever really serve a pudding pie to guests. I like something that looks like a little more work went into it. This worked for me. I served it to guests and they really loved it. And I didn't feel like I was skimping on the dessert. The oreos do get pretty hard after being in the fridge. We had a couple pieces left over and after they sat in the pie a little longer it softened them up, they weren't mush or anything but they were a lot easier to eat:)

Made this recipe the less fat way and put it in the refrigerator, it was gone before I awoke the next morning. My roomates devoured it, I ended up making two more, one for them and one to take to a gathering.
