Rated 4 out of 5 by from Way better than a traditional skillet grilled cheese, and have made these a few times! Way better than a traditional skillet grilled cheese, and have made these a few times! Putting them in the oven gives them a firmer, crispier, heartier feel. I addition to the parmesan I also sprinkle on some garlic salt, yum! We have also tried substituting the 2nd slice of cheese with pepper-jack, added a bit of chipotle mayo, and even deli meat and banana peppers to make it like a toasted italian sandwich. Very good!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is a bit healthier than what I make. This is a bit healthier than what I make. I always butter and grill both sides of each slice of bread. I turn burner to medium setting with a good skillet. We use Colby Jack cheese, mozzarella, Swiss and Parmesan, on thick bread slices. This would be a good 'go to' for those trying to manage fat and calories.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The sandwiches took longer to turn golden brown than the time called for in the recipe. The sandwiches took longer to turn golden brown than the time called for in the recipe. I thought the sandwich was too dry and crumbly. I think I will stick to my grill cheese maker if I am hungry for grilled cheese!

It is an easy & quick way to make a bunch of grilled cheese. We used whole wheat bread instead and it turned out perfectly crisp and cheesy!
