  • Brown meat with onions in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Stir in water and barbecue sauce. Bring to boil. Add macaroni; cook 8 to 10 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in VELVEETA; cook until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally.
  • Top with tomatoes and bacon.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a crisp green vegetable, such as hot steamed broccoli.

Substitute

Substitute rotini for the elbow macaroni.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was very easy, and so yummy! This was very easy, and so yummy! I added some BBQ sauce and a little more water, because I used 12 ounces of noodles. (I didn't want 4 oz of noodles left in a bag with a family of four!) The tomatoes are really a nice touch. It's kind of a surprising yumminess with the ingredients... they seem a little strange together. I will definitely make it again, my 1 year old really liked it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It was OK. It was OK. My husband liked it. That's the only reason I would make it again. I thought it was kind of bland. It was missing something. It was very quick and easy, however, and made a lot so if I never need a lot of filling food quick, this is what I'll be making.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Way better than what I expected. Way better than what I expected. I used the shell macaroni that comes with the cheese sauce instead of the elbow macaroni and velveeta. Did everything else, except for the bacon on the top. Will try that next time. Very yummy and quick.

Great if its hot and you're inside with the A/C on. Its great in mid-winter when you're wishing it was the middle of summer. Quick and easy!

So yummy!
