Rated 1 out of 5 by from I couldn't get the Velveeta to melt like it used to melt. I couldn't get the Velveeta to melt like it used to melt. I was very disappointed. Everyone loved my "queso" dip that I would serve for all types of functions. I always added a can of "Rotel" and knew that there would be nothing left of my "queso". Now after my last few experiences of having the Velveeta not melt, I stopped making this dish. Very sad. I hope Kraft reconsiders having changed their Velveeta formula...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy recipe to make. Very easy recipe to make. I made this for the Super Bowl and it went fast. I added 24 oz of the Velveeta Cheese, 2 cans of no bean chili, and about 2lbs of cooked hamburger meat in the crock pot on low. The slow cooker melted the cheese and kept it warm. You just need to make sure you stir it every once in a while other wise a thin film will develop on top. Served with tortilla chips and a great filler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really liked this dip. I really liked this dip. It was very simple and the velveeta tasted perfect with it. I used Bush's chili with beans. I put some cheddar bread in the oven to get it warm and a little crispy and used for dipping. My boyfriend liked it but gave it a 3 out of 5. I guess I liked it more than he did! But he still enjoyed it. Would love to make for a bigger crowd or super bowl party.

I used the Mexican Velveeta and a can of chili with beans. I stirred in some milk after melting to thin it a bit and kept it in a small crock pot. It was the first thing empty on the buffet, I should have made 2 batches, I had no idea it would be so popular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is the best appetizer that I've ever served at my many parties. this is the best appetizer that I've ever served at my many parties. I always get raves for it. To make it super creamy use chili con carne without beans. My trick is to warm it up and let it sit in my small crockpot and serve it out of there. It takes about an hour to get ready but it's an easy pre-party thing to do.

I have been making this recipe for many years -- and it's always a big hit at my parties. If you want a spicier version of this dip, then clean and finely dice one or two jalepeno peppers, then add to the cheese and chili mixture right near the end. This dip is also great with fresh vegetables.
