VELVEETA Jambalaya Skillet recipe

This quick and easy weeknight version of jambalaya is skillet-simple and stars smoked sausage and chopped peppers.

5 servings, about 1 cup each

What You Need

lb.  smoked sausage, sliced
 green pepper, chopped
cups  water
pkg.  (14.3 oz.) VELVEETA CHEESY SKILLETS Dinner Kit Jambalaya

Make It

COOK and stir sausage and peppers in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 5 to 7 min. or until sausage is done and peppers are tender. Add water, Seasoning Mix and Pasta; stir. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover.

SIMMER 11 to 13 min. or until pasta is tender and most of the water is absorbed, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.

STIR in VELVEETA Cheese Sauce.

Kraft Kitchens Tips

Substitute 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces. Omit the green peppers.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with a mixed green salad and your favorite fresh fruit to round out the meal.
