Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is incredibly easy & extremely delicious! This recipe is incredibly easy & extremely delicious! I'm so glad I found this recipe - should definitely be one of the top 10 recipes! Although the total time listed on the recipe (35min) is misleading bc between boiling the water and scrambling the hamburger it takes me at least an hour to make this, but it is completely worth it and my husband loves it. I've already made it 2 weeks in a row and plan to keep it handy to make in the future since it would also make a great recipe for a potluck or holiday (its always hard to find something that isn't a dessert for those things).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious. Delicious. Make it healthier by using light sour cream, eliminate taco seasoning, which is very salty and using chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, pepper and nutmeg and sprinke fresh cilantro on just before serving. Chips stay crunchy if you put them on each serving, also. Next I'm going to add black beans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The kids LOVE this recipe! The kids LOVE this recipe! It doesn't take any longer to make than does the mac and cheese itself and it is so much more interesting! I know on the front end that the kids are going to eat a good amount.. second and third helpings from the kids who usually leave most of their food on the plate. My husband came home from work and looked at this dinner the first time I made it and made a face. We usually eat bistro-type foods and he was disappointed at having to eat "kid food"; later on when he was eating he said, "You know, this is really pretty good." I have to say as an adult I really like this meal... casual yes, but very homey and comforting... remind you of all the things you loved to eat as a child. I've made this two times and plan to make it a lot m ore in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My family really enjoyed this dish. My family really enjoyed this dish. I added a can of whole kernel corn to meat mixture. I also used 2 cups of wheat shells with 4 ozs. of Velveeta Mexican Cheese instead of the box combination. It was very delicious. I certainly will try it again with more chips layered in the middle layer and then top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Daughter-in-law clued me in to this recipe. My Daughter-in-law clued me in to this recipe. Seasonings were just right for us, and the sour cream made the mac and cheese taste like made-from-scratch. I've made it 3 times now and plan to make sure the ingredients are always on hand for a quick supper. Quick, delicious, and hearty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was really good! This was really good! Better than expected! I also added mexi-corn to the meat as some other reviewers recommended. Since I am not a fan of jar-salsa, I used a can of Rotel instead - drained to substitute. Served with a dollop of sour ***** on top and extra chips - YUM!
