I have made this recipe in the past a bit differently, but thought I would try this for New Year's Eve. Now I wish I would have stuck to my old recipe. It was "ok". I made it in the crockpot to keep it warm for guests. I will not make it again following these ingredients. We did not think it was spicy at all, so we added sliced jalapenos from a jar. It was still a bit bland.....I may try this recipe again but drain a little bit of the juice from the tomatoes and green chilis, and maybe add some taco seasoning to the ground beef.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anything made with velveeta and rotel together is great! Anything made with velveeta and rotel together is great! Try 1lb velveeta with 1 can rotel, microwave until melted and serve with corn chip scoops. Awesome dip, never any leftover.I discovered that recipe in Alabama in the 70's when you couldn't find rotel here. We used to order it from Texas by the case!!Now it is sold at most grocery stores here, thank goodness!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is very good. This is very good. Made for a $uper B*wl party & went over well. I actually browned a pound of ground beef & added a pack of taco seasoning. Then, I put half the meat in this dip & used the other half for chili. Gives it a little extra zing. Also petite diced tomatoes w/ jalapenos is good. Served with tortilla chips. -A cook in St. Louis, MO

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dip is so yummy! This dip is so yummy! I've made both this dip and the regular cheeseburger dip and I prefer this version. It has much more flavor. I've made it with the 2% Velveeta and the regular and there was no difference in taste or consistency. Use lean ground beef and reduced fat Velveeta if you want to cut out a few calories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this dip! I loved this dip! So did my boyfriend and his family. I put the hot rotel in it because that is all the store had at the time and it was really spicy, but everyone still enjoyed it. I'm going to make it again for my friends bridal shower but with mild rotel this time. I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Fantastic!!! Honestly, I made it and it didn't look very good, but it was really great and my guests devoured it. I added a packet of taco seasoning which gave it a little more flavor and served it with corn chips. I don't think I've ever received so many compliments. This is also good poured over pasta!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I make this recipe 2 or 3 times a month for a weekly card-playing night. I make this recipe 2 or 3 times a month for a weekly card-playing night. Served with corn chips (not tortilla chips) and sliced jalapenos (from a jar) on the side, it makes great nachos! I like putting the onions in last because their crunchy texture is a good feature. Our friends ask for this dip!!
