  • Spray 8-inch electric waffle iron with cooking spray. Heat to medium heat.
  • Thread each frank piece onto separate wooden skewer; place on grid of prepared waffle iron, letting ends of sticks hang over sides of waffle iron. Close lid. Cook franks 1 to 2 min. or until heated through. Remove from waffle iron.
  • Prepare corn muffin batter as directed on package; stir in cheese.
  • Spread half the batter onto bottom grid of waffle iron. (Batter will not completely cover waffle grid.) Place franks over batter, letting ends of sticks hang over sides. Spread remaining batter over franks. Close lid. Cook 4 to 5 min. or until waffles are golden brown.
  • Remove waffles from iron in quarters; cut each quarter in half. Serve with ketchup.

Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smh Not sure why the other reviewer gave a bad review your obviously SUPPOSED to use half the amount your waffle iron calls for and spread it across... But OBVIOUSLY they think you as a company will know what size/type of waffle iron EVERYONE who visits will own and your site will magically change the amount to their machine... Come on people use COMMON SENSE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids new favorite We have three waffle makers in our house, so exact measurements for pouring on the waffle makers would of really been a problem. My daughter was a mickey maker, my son has a star wars and we have a large. This has become our new lunchtime snack. It's easy, and I know what's going into the mix, unlike the commercial corndogs. We even added relish into the mix (offset some of the liquid) and it gave them an interesting flavor and crunch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disaster Total lack of exact measurements on pouring batter led to mass chaos as batter flooded out of the sides of the waffle maker in waves. I did it like the video and know how to cook well. I wish companies would quit making "easy" videos and start giving better actual directions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Change it up a (bit) I think if the hot dogs are cut into small pieces and mix all together and batter is poured in each slot. The recipe will work better; Mustard instead of K.
