We do a lot of camping, and I try not to do the obligatory hotdog/hamburger thing. With the addition of a store bought pound cake for underneath the bananas the extra sauce is accounted for and makes a decadent looking dessert, especailly for camping and potlucking with friends on the campout. Another nice touch would be to pour a wee bit of Fra Angelica [Hazelnut liqueur] on it just before serving and flame it. Makes a wonderful presentation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just made this for the first time tonight. I just made this for the first time tonight. I halved the recipe, since I was just making it for myself. I didn't have the peanuts or cool whip, so I just omitted them. Instead of the square of chocolate, I sprinkled the bananas with a few chocolate chips while it was still warm so they would melt...it turned out fantastic. I would definately make it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG, this is so good! OMG, this is so good! I made it for dessert last night. After one bite, I knew I'd be putting this recipe in my book for future use. I didn't have any peanuts, so I made it without them. I think I might try it with walnuts next time. Overall, it's quite easy to make and very yummy.

So quick and easy to throw together, we served over ice cream and skipped the peanuts (as we have an allergy in the house), and chocolate. I think we'll try with some granola next time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was not crazy about this dish at all. I was not crazy about this dish at all. The Semi-Sweet Chocolate was not sweet enough for this recipe. I think it would be better over vanilla ice cream but I don't think I'll find out.
