Similar to the other reviews, my cake also stuck to the pan. I think that the apples were really too heavy to be suspended in the cake. I did like the flavors of the cake. Next time I'd try to do it with only 1 chopped up apple, and add in the walnuts like in the other reviews. This cake also tasted better after it sat for 2 days, and it definetly needs the sweet glaze.

My mother is diabetic so I used sugar free cake mix and sugar free jello pudding and left off the icing/glaze on hers but it was just as good! I am getting ready to go get the ingrediants to make another for this weekend.

I used strained greek yogurt ( I make it myself), and used sugar free cake mix & pudding mix,as my hubby is diabetic. I baked it in my stoneware bunt pan & it came out great! I sprayed it with baking spray, as I was scared about it sticking from the other comments. I tastes better a day after you bake it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband chose this recipe for his Birthday cake. My husband chose this recipe for his Birthday cake. It was delicious. I used Roma apples because that's what I had on hand. I did have the problem with the cake sticking but I think it was due to the fact that I didn't get enough cooking spray in the pan. I would definitely make this again.
