Place unopened tub in refrigerator. An 8-oz. tub will be completely thawed in 4 hours. Do not thaw in microwave.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The first time I had this was at an office party 3 years ago. The first time I had this was at an office party 3 years ago. I had no clue what it was or what it was called. Then it appeared again this past Thanksgiving. Again, I had no clue what it was or what it was called, but what I did know is how much I liked it. So much, that I searched your website for it, and 45 minutes later, there is was "Watergate Salad". How it got that name, I don't know. But I'm sure glad I found it. I made it just a couple of weeks ago, and it was just as good as the first time I had it. This recipe is really good. It did take my boyfriend to warm up to the color, but once he had a taste, he had to have a bowl of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've made this recipe many times for my family. I've made this recipe many times for my family. I was kind of in a busy week this week when the missions convention was to take place at my church. I decided I would make this for one of the * salads* to pass. By the time I got through the line the first time half of this huge Tupperware bowl was gone, and those who went back for seconds and thirds scraped my bowl clean gone. So, I think it was a huge hit with them as well :) I enjoy that it didnt have cream cheese or sour cream or any of that in the mix. Its so simple and perfect in any season. Thank you for a nice recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've made this recipe for years. I've made this recipe for years. I don't even need to look at the recipe anymore. When I was going to make some the other night, I realized I didn't have any pistachio pudding so I made it with vanilla instead and it was just as good! I usually take my Cool Whip out of the freezer when I start. By the time I'm ready for it, it's started to thaw a little and I can break it up into large chunks. I put the bowl in the fridge and stir periodically until it thaws - much quicker than waiting 4 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got this recipe from a girlfriend of mine, who happens to be a Kraft employee. I got this recipe from a girlfriend of mine, who happens to be a Kraft employee. She makes it as follows: 2 boxes of pistachio pudding, 3 - 8oz. containers of coolwhip. Mix those together and add as needed the pineapple, juice from pineapple and marshmallows. You can pretty much make it to whatever consistency you want it. My family likes it light on the pineapple and juice, and big on marshmallows. Makes it more fluffy. Not allot of measurement on this one, but we do omit the nuts and it is still great. Always makes a hit at parties.

This was my first time ever making this salad and from the ingredients alone I figured that it would be good. Lo and behold, when I took it over to friends for Thanksgiving dinner, they were raving about how great it was and how light and refreshing it was. They were even thinking how great it would be for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Fourth of July and to make sure that I make it again for Christmas. It was great! And with the few ingredients and time it took to prepare I will definitely make it again. Thanks!

Whenever we're invited to a get-together this is "the" dish I always prepare & take. I think we need to change the name of it to "Dissapearing Salad" no more than 10 minutes after it's placed on table, WHAM it dissappears, just about everyone goes for seconds. Next time I'll need to double it. It's so gooood! The best part it only takes a few minutes to prepare. I omit the nuts. Very delicious & health conscious as well. Thank you, keenpetite

You can't go wrong with this cool and tasty dessert!!*SMILE* I love watergate salad especially during the spring and summer months, it is ALWAYS the FIRST dessert to go.Whether it is a picnic or a family dinner,people will lick the bowl clean. Some people choose to leave the pecans out and add cottage cheese to this salad,but it is up to you and your own personal preferences and taste. I usually make this salad without the pecans,because I think it makes the salad taste better.*SMILE*
