Whipped Sweet Potato Bake Recipe

What You Need

3

cans (15 oz. each) sweet potatoes, drained

1/4

cup butter or margarine, melted

1

tsp. ground cinnamon

1

tsp. ground ginger

1/4

tsp. ground nutmeg

3

cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

BEAT potatoes, butter and spices with mixer until blended.

SPOON into 1-1/2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with marshmallows.

BAKE 15 to 20 min. or until potato mixture is heated through and marshmallows are lightly browned.

Use Your Microwave

Mix all ingredients; spoon into microwaveable 1-1/2-qt. dish sprayed with cooking spray. Do not top with marshmallows. Microwave on HIGH 8 to 10 min. or until heated through, stirring after 5 min. Top with marshmallows; let stand 2 to 3 min. or until marshmallows begin to melt.

Substitute

Substitute 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.

I made this recipe tonight; it was yummy! After reading a few of the reviews, I decided to add a teaspoon of vanilla and 3 tablespoons of orange juice then I sprinkled the whole thing with brown sugar before putting the marshmallows on top. I have been trying recipes to find the one I like the best and this is definitely the one.

This recipe was so good! I didn't have a 1qt baking dish so I used a glass pie dish... I had to cut the cooking time down. I added 1tsp of vanilla and next time i will cut the cooking time at the end of the marshmallow topping to 7-8 minutes because at 10 minutes once I took it out it just all melted into the dish and wasn't very pretty :( but was so delicious still!

I make this every year for Thanksgiving and have received lots of compliments. It's easy and is always gone at the end of the day!

With one extra indegredient, we have made this recipe for years as my mother did. We add brown sugar and use real sweet potatoes or yams and cook in the oven. The family loves them.

Super easy to prepare and delicious. I prepared it the day before and followed the microwave directions for reheating. I will definitely use this recipe again.

In the past i just made boring ole sweet taters not anymore these were amazing my husband said they were the best ive ever made the whole family liked this.
