Your loved ones will know it's a special occasion when you serve this indulgent whiskey cake.
Prepare cake and whiskey glaze as directed. Instead of drizzling glaze over cake slices, poke holes in top of cooled cake on serving platter, using wooden skewer. Pour glaze slowly over top of cake, allowing it to soak into holes.
Substitute apple juice for the whiskey.
For a change of pace, top cake slices with whiskey-flavored COOL WHIP. Add 1 to 2 Tbsp. whiskey glaze to each cup of thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping; stir gently with whisk until blended. Spoon over cake slices.
Substitute PLANTERS Pecans for the walnuts.
