White Beans, Sausage and Tomatoes with Shells

White kidney beans, Italian sausage and Italian-style stewed tomatoes give this shell pasta dish hearty appeal.

What You Need

Tbsp.  olive oil
1
lb.  Italian sausage, chopped
1
 onion, chopped
4
 carrots, chopped
2
cans  (15 oz. each) Italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
1
can  (15 oz.) white kidney beans, rinsed
3
cups  shell macaroni, uncooked
2
Tbsp.  KRAFT Grated Parmesan or Romano Cheese

Make It

HEAT oil in large heavy saucepan on medium heat. Add sausage; cook 10 min. or until browned, stirring frequently. Add onion and carrots; cook 5 min., stirring frequently.

STIR in tomatoes and beans. Simmer on low heat, uncovered, 15 min. or until carrots are tender.

MEANWHILE prepare macaroni as directed on package, omitting salt; drain. Top with sauce and cheese.
