White Chocolate Blonde Brownies

In place of dark chocolate, these homemade brownies are flavored with vanilla, pecans and brown sugar and are laced with white chocolate chunks.

What You Need

1/3

cup butter or margarine, softened

1/2

cup firmly packed brown sugar

eggs

tsp. vanilla

cup flour

1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/4

tsp. salt

squares BAKER'S White Chocolate, chopped

1/2

cup PLANTERS Chopped Pecans

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line 9-inch square baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Grease foil.

BEAT butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Spread into prepared pan.

BAKE 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan. Lift brownies from pan, using foil handles. Cut into 16 squares to serve.

I have been looking for a good blonde brownie recipe and I think I found it! This came out really good although I only cooked it for 15 mins to make it a little softer and chewier! I added a scoop of ice cream and some caramel and it was very tasty!! Thanks Kraft!

I executed the variation by adding the semi-sweet chocolate chunks. I wanted more of a white chocolate flavor so next time I plan to decrease amount of semi-sweet chunks and increase white chocolate chunks. I used a block of white chocolate and cut my own chunks but still not enough white chocolate for my taste. I would probably want to add 6 oz. or more of white chocolate chunks.

I was looking for something not so cakey - more of a chewy brownie. I got very good compliments but these were more like a cake brownie.

I made these for friends and they were an embarrassment. Tasteless, poor texture, and cretainly not worth the cost of the ingredients.

Ok so I loved this recipe - but I will admit I adapted it a little. I had made some Chocolate brownies which were awesome and wanted a white choc brownie. (reason I didn't just change chocs in the other recipe is I thought might be too much white choc!!) Anyways I found this recipe and kind of mixed and matched my two recipes - the way to get this recipe to taste like a brownie and to taste white chocolatey is to get a big bag (works out to about 2 cups) of White Choc chips, melt them and stir them in when this recipe tells you to do! Since I did this - I think I am addicted! Anyone like Moxies White choc brownies????? WELL MAKE THESE they are BETTER! and I adore the moxies wcb!!!

Mine had good brownie texture (don't overbake). I substituted white chocolate chips and I think I added too many at 1-1/2 cups.

I was not happy with the way these turned out. More of a cakelike texture than a brownie. I would not make them again.

Delicious! I put in about 1 1/2 C of white chocolate chips instead of chopped white chocolate bars. Try warm with a scoop of ice cream on top and drizzled with ice chocolate sauce! Very similar to Apple Bees Blonde Brownie Desert. I recommed this to all white chocolate lovers.

Add more Chocolate than what they recommend otherwise you'll only get a bite here and there.
