White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Some of the white chocolate is melted and blended into the dough. The rest is added whole, dotting each scrumptious cookie.

What You Need

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate, coarsely chopped, divided

1-3/4

cups flour

3/4

tsp. baking soda

1/4

tsp. salt

1/2

cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened

1/3

cup firmly packed brown sugar

egg

tsp. vanilla

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Microwave 1 cup of the chocolate in microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted; set aside. Mix flour, baking soda and salt until well blended; set aside.

BEAT butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in remaining chopped chocolate. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE 11 to 13 minutes or just until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Tropical Chunk Cookies

Prepare as directed, stirring 1-1/2 cups toasted BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut and 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Macadamias into the cookie dough before spooning onto baking sheets.

Black and White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Bake and cool cookies as directed. Melt 6 oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate as directed on package. Dip half of each cookie in melted chocolate. Let stand on wax paper-lined tray until chocolate is firm.

White Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Walnuts

Prepare as directed, stirring 1 cup PLANTERS Walnut Pieces into the cookie dough before spooning onto baking sheets.

I have made this twice so far for my boyfriend & i. We both LOVE white chocolate & this was perfect. I didn't add any salt as the butter, baking soda & flour have enough salt. I only baked the cookies for about 6 minutes & then took them out of the oven & let them cook the rest of the way while cooking, they turned out perfect

I am a WHITE CHOCOLATE FREAK!!!!!!! These were very good, there's not a huge burst of flavor when you first taste them but you get a big white chocolate hit in the aftertaste. I used Promise Lite Butter spread instead of butter and a Splenda Brown Sugar Blend Substitute and egg beaters instead of the egg and they are just so good. Next time I might melt more of the white chocolate into the batter though. YUMM YUMM YUMMO

IT WAS EASY TO MAKE BUT DIDNT HAVE ALOT OF FLAVOR THE WHITE CHOCOLATE KINDA MADE UP FOR THE LACK OF TASTE BUT OVER ALL EVERY IN MY FAMILY DIDNT LIKE THEM.

i would make this again i cant eat the dark chocolate so this lets me still have cookies i enjoy.
