White & Gold Pizza

What You Need

Tbsp. olive oil, divided

large sweet onion, thinly sliced

lb. frozen pizza dough, thawed

large clove garlic, minced

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1/2

cup DI GIORNO Grated Romano Cheese

1/2

tsp. crushed red pepper

Make It

HEAT oven to 425ºF.

HEAT 1 Tbsp. oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 15 to 20 min. or until tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally.

MEANWHILE, place pizza dough on lightly floured baking sheet; pat to 16x12-inch rectangle. Mix garlic and remaining oil; spread onto dough. Bake 10 min.

SPREAD cream cheese onto crust; top with remaining cheeses, onions and crushed pepper. Bake 10 to 12 min. or until crust is golden brown.

Make Ahead

Caramelized onions can be made ahead of time. Cool, then refrigerate up to 2 days before using as directed.

Smoked Salmon & Capers Pizza

Prepare as directed, using PHILADELPHIA Salmon Cream Cheese Spread and substituting 2 tsp. capers for the crushed red pepper.

Serving Suggestion

For added color and texture, serve with a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Light Dressing.

Definitely a crowd pleaser! I'm asked to make this all the time now! Delicious with any kinds of onions and even without the red pepper.

If I make it again I would use less cream cheese & add chicken.

This pizza was amazing! I used refrigerated thin crust pizza dough instead of frozen, and I added sliced red bell pepper and mushrooms (sauteed with the onions). I skipped the crushed red pepper. It was delicious!

This has become my signature appetizer for all family gatherings. Always a hit! I usually top half the pizza with thin sliced tomato. Delicious!

This pizza was awesome. I topped it with chopped cooked bacon in addition to the onions and cheese, and used refrigerated pizza dough and a round pizza pan it worked just fine. So nice to make something different and everybody loved it. I will make this again and again.

This did not settle too well with my family. I guess we are more in to the traditional pizza. I might give it another try and add my own touches to it.

We do pizza friday every week and this was a great way to mix it up a bit. The caremalized onions had great flavor and the crusehd red pepper added a little spice in the back of your throat. I would add a small fresh tomato next time just to help cut through the cheese or just dip it in pizza sauce. Either way it was delicious!

This is one of the best homemade pizzas I have ever had. I loved the sweetness of the onions against the spicy pepper flakes. My husband made these on the grill and he loved it. These would be good with sundried tomatoes too. I can't wait to make this again.

i loved this as a side dish. it was a great way to add some elegance to plain old spaghetti dinner. i followed the recipe except i used a red onion and home made pizza dough. i will make this again for sure.

Huge success! i loved this recipe! I made it for my family one night and i decided that i rather have this pizza over store bought! the best pizza i ever had. However i made homemade crust and did not buy frozen crust which i think added to the delicious taste. I look forward to making this again in the very near future!
