  • Heat oven to 325ºF.
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in medium bowl.
  • Whisk egg, oil, vanilla and 1/2 cup maple syrup until blended. Add to dry ingredients; stir just until blended.
  • Refrigerate 30 min.
  • Shape dough into 14 (1-1/2-inch) balls; place, 1 inch apart, on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Flatten with bottom of clean drinking glass.
  • Bake 10 to 12 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheet 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
  • Mix reduced-fat cream cheese and remaining syrup until blended; spread onto cookies. Let stand until firm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! I made these and they were the worst cookie I ever made. When you bite into one it sucks the saliva right out of your mouth. I did one batch, then added a half stick of butter and they were still terrible. A waste of my expensive pure maple syrup. Less than POOR rating.
