1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 medium to large onion
Carrots
Bisto Gravy Powder
Salt, pepper, parsley flakes, basil, thyme
Potatoes
Butter

Cover meat with cold water, stir with a fork. Add cut up onion and carrot rounds. Add seasonings. Bring to a boil, and then simmer for about one hour. Make Bisto according to directions and add to meat mixture.

Meanwhile peel and cut up potatoes. Cover with cold water, salt to taste, bring to a boil then simmer till done. Drain; mash with butter and milk.

Using slotted spoon put meat mixture in casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes. Using a fork, make ridges in the potato. Put under grill and brown the potatoes.
