1 chicken, cut up or chicken parts (8 pieces, can use skinless if you want)
2 cups buttermilk
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper (red if you prefer spicier)
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground thyme
Vegetable cooking spray for spraying pan and also chicken pieces before baking

Preheat oven to 400°F. Soak chicken pieces in buttermilk for 20 to 30 minutes while oven heats and mixing dry ingredients..

Dip pieces into the dry ingredients, and put on sprayed baking sheet Spray chicken pieces with vegetable spray.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Can use drippings for gravy if desired.
