Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 1/2 - 2 lb ground chuck
1 1/2 - 2 lb ground pork
2 pkg taco seasoning mix (medium or hot)
1 tub (8-oz.) soft cream cheese
2 lg. jars salsa (medium or hot)
1 jar sliced jalapenos
Tabasco sauce
1 container (8-oz.) sour cream
1 large pkg. shredded cheddar cheese (you can use more if you like a lot of cheese)

Let's Make It

Brown the ground chuck and chop into small pieces. Drain in colander. In the same pan, brown the ground pork and chop into small pieces. Drain in colander. Return all the meat to the pan and add both packages of the taco seasoning and follow package directions. Once the meat is done, start the following layers in a large crock-pot:

Layer 1:

1/3 meat mixture (spread evenly on bottom)

add cream cheese using the entire tub, spoon 5 scoops (4 in a circle and 1 in the middle)

add 1/3 salsa spreading evenly

add a few jalapenos in a circular fashion and a few squirts of Tabasco.

Layer 2:

1/3 meat mixture (spread evenly)

add 1/3 salsa spreading evenly

add a few jalapenos in a circular fashion and a few squirts of Tabasco

add sour cream, spoon 5 scoops (4 in a circle and 1 in the middle)

add shredded cheese to cover layer evenly

Cook in crock-pot for 3-4 hours or until cheese on top is melted and bubbly. Serve with Tostitos Scoop Chips or any dipping chip you desire.
