Brown the ground meat and onion. Drain the excess fat.
Add green beans and tomato soup. Leave on lowest heat while you make the potatoes.
After making the mashed potatoes, spread on top of meat/beans/soup mixture, and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Continue to simmer just until the cheese starts to melt.
