2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3-4 cups cut & cleaned rhubarb
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar

Cream together the sugar and shortening. Then in a separate bowl mix the egg, flour, buttermilk, baking soda & salt. Mix the sugar- shortening mix in. Next, fold in the rhubarb. Spread into a 9x13-inch pan.

In another bowl mix the brown sugar & sugar. Sprinkle on top of the batter.

Bake at 350°F for at least 40-45 minutes or until the tooth pick comes out clean.
