Original recipe yields 1 serving
3/4 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped pitted dates
3 1/2 cups flour

Let's Make It

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add baking soda, milk, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Fold in walnuts and dates. Mix in flour one cup at a time by hand.

Drop by Tbsp. onto greased sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on pan 2 minutes. Remove to cooling racks.
