Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter a large pan. Mix sugar and cocoa in a large bowl. Add melted margarine. Keep the mixer running as you add the remainder of the ingredients. Add the eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt together. When they are completely mixed in, add one package of chocolate chips.
Spread mixture evenly in large buttered pan. (I usually have a small pan extra. Will fit in 3 8x8 pans.)
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. You don’t want it to be too dry. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the brownies. Spread them after they melt. Let cool. Spread on frosting.
