Boil potatoes until soft. Peel potatoes and mash. Add butter, salt, sugar, egg and vanilla. Blend and add canned milk (just enough to make them whipped ). While still hot add pineapples.
Pour 1/2 mixture into baking dish and top with marshmallows. Pour remaining mixture on top.
Bake at 250°F for 30 minutes.
