Easy Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb sliced Oscar Mayer Bacon (or for a special treat use Oscar Mayer Center Cut Bacon)
2 cans whole water chestnuts in water
1 box wood toothpicks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut bacon slices in half. Drain water chestnuts.

Wrap one slice (half slice see above) around a single water chestnut. Secure bacon by stabbing a toothpick all the way through both the bacon and water chestnut. Be sure that the ends are held tight so as not to come loose during baking.

Bake for about 15-20 minutes or till done. Check about 1/2 way through to be sure not to over cook. Remove from oven and place on layered paper towels to dry a few minutes.
