1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup short coconut
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and mix well until smooth. Add rest of ingredients and mix well.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten with palm of hand.

Bake at 350°F for 8 - 10 minutes.
