Let's Make It
Peel, core & slice apples and place in a large bowl. Add all purpose flour and mix through apples. Add lemon juice and vanilla extract and mix through.
Place apples into pie shell - (it will be piled high). Dot with butter. Place second pie shell on top - stretch gently over apples - then crimp edges and prick shell with fork.
Place in a preheated oven of 350 degrees F for an hour.
