12 oz Kraft Cheddar Cheese (finely shredded), divided

Let's Make It
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Chop onion and saute in butter. Mix hash browns, sour cream, soup, little smokies, sauteed onions, Velveeta (optional), and half of the cheddar cheese.
Combine all ingredients and pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Smooth out evenly.
Bake for 1 hour. In the last 15 min. of baking, top with the other half of cheddar cheese.
