Melt chocolate pieces, butter and shortening over hot (not boiling) water until completely melted.
Combine sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add melted chocolate mixture to sugar and mix well. Next add flour and blend together. Cut banana into whatever thickness you like and fold into mixture.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F. Let cool for about 20 minutes and enjoy.
