Original recipe yields 1 serving
4 cups raw sugar
3 teaspoon s cinnamon
3 teaspoon s nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoon s bicarbonate of soda
2 1/2 teaspoon s baking powder
6 cups plain flour
6 cups coarse oatmeal
3 cups dark chocolate chips
1 cup shredded coconut
2 1/4 cups margarine
3 cups apple sauce
4 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
3 teaspoon s vanilla essence

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). Combine all dry ingredients in a LARGE bowl. Melt margarine and add apple sauce, eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix into dry ingredients and work to a "glossy" consistency where the mixture leaves the sides of the bowl clean.

Place rounded teaspoons full of mixture out on a greased tray. Gently pat down to maintain consistent size and shape.

Bake for approximately 10 minutes. Dry on rack and store the crisp Biscuit in air tight containers.
