Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 eggs, slightly beaten (lightly bubbly)
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup white Karo Syrup
cups 1 to 2 pecans
1 unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix together eggs, sugar, salt, butter, vanilla, and Karo syrup. Then add 1 to 2 cups pecans, just the amount that suits your taste.

Pour into unbaked pie shell. Cover pie shell edges with aluminum foil -- this will keep the edges from burning and will be a beautiful color when finished.

Bake in oven for approximately 1 hour (most of the time, I find it is a little less than an hour). Pie will barely shake when done. You can also stick in a knife and when it comes out clean, it is also done.
