Original recipe yields 1 serving
6 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 Tablespoon ginger
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup molasses
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sift together flour, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. Set aside.

In medium bowl, mix together the butter, molasses, brown sugar, water, egg and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the dry ingredients. Divide dough and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll dough and cut out cookies. Bake 10-12 minutes.
