Crust: Mix ingredients and put in bottom of 9" springform pan. Chill pan in freezer while preparing cheesecake mix.
Filling: Use cream cheese at room temperature. Blend cream cheese and sugar first, and then add eggs, cornstarch and vanilla. Blend well and then stir in sour cream and almond extract. Pour into crust pan.
Bake: in preheated oven at 450°F for 10 minutes, then lower temp to 200°F and bake for 45 minutes. Turn oven off and crack door open, let stand in oven for 3 hours. Chill in refrigerator and then enjoy.
