4 egg yolks
1 cup buttermilk
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp lemon extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a large springform pan. Cream butter, sugar, and egg yolks. Add buttermilk alternately with dry ingredients. Add vanilla and lemon extract. Add gradually 4 egg whites, beaten still.

Pour batter into well greased (not floured) large springform pan with center.

Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
