5 very ripe large bananas
1/2 jar marachino cherries, halved
1 box Jell-O Chocolate Pudding Mix
1 1/2 boxes yellow cake mix
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 container (8 oz.) Cool Whip French Vanilla
1 cup Planters Peanuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a 9x13-inch pan, mash bananas and spread evenly. Place maraschino cherries evenly over banana layer.

Sprinkle pudding mix on cherries. Crumble cake mix over pudding mix. Pour butter evenly over cake mix (there may be dry spots, that's ok).

Bake in oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, spooning cake into bowls, top with Cool Whip and chopped peanuts.
