In a large pot of boiling water cook broccoli according to directions on package.
Meanwhile, chop and saute the onion in butter. When the broccoli is cooked, place in a large baking dish. Add all ingredients except the bread crumbs and mix well. Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly and cover with foil.
Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
